Delete Your Account & Data
Last updated: October 7, 2026
This page is for the PermitNav app by Pythn Development. You can permanently delete your account — or just specific data — at any time. Here's how, and exactly what is deleted or kept.
Delete your entire account (in the app)
- Open PermitNav and sign in.
- Go to the Account tab.
- Tap Delete account, then confirm.
Deletion is immediate and permanent. It cannot be undone, and we cannot recover your permits or routes afterward. The permit documents you uploaded are not deleted: they are kept in files linked to no account (see the table below and the Privacy Policy, "Uploaded permit documents are kept").
Request deletion by email (no app needed)
If you no longer have the app installed, email [email protected] with the subject "Delete my PermitNav account", sent from the email address on your account. We verify the request and complete deletion within 30 days, then confirm by reply.
Delete specific data without deleting your account
- A permit: in the app, open the permit and choose Delete. This removes the permit and its extracted data from your account. The document you uploaded for it stays in your account's private storage folder until your account is deleted (see below).
- A route: open the saved route and choose Delete.
- Anything else: email [email protected] describing the data you want removed, and we'll take care of it within 30 days.
What is deleted, and what is kept
| Data | What happens when your account is deleted |
|---|---|
| Account & profile (email, sign-in identity) | Deleted immediately |
| Extracted permit data (the route, dimensions and dates PermitNav read from your permits) | Deleted immediately |
| Uploaded permit documents (permit PDFs, and the photos of a permit from a state PermitNav does not read yet) | Kept, unlinked from you: each document is moved to a new, randomly named file in our private storage that carries no account identifier, and we keep no record of which account it came from. Backups made before the deletion hold it under your account until those backups expire (up to 90 days). We keep these documents to improve how PermitNav reads permits and to add support for more states — see the Privacy Policy, "Uploaded permit documents are kept". |
| Saved routes and navigation history | Deleted immediately |
| Subscription entitlements and credits | Deleted immediately (unused credits are not refundable) |
| Crash & error diagnostics linked to your account | Deleted immediately |
| Your acceptance records of the Terms, Privacy Policy and safety acknowledgement | Deleted immediately, with your account |
| Crash reports in Firebase Crashlytics (app version 1.2.6 and later) | Not linked to any account, so not affected by the deletion; Google keeps them for 90 days before it begins deleting them |
| What Google's Maps and Navigation SDKs received while guiding your car trips | Kept by Google under the Google Privacy Policy; it is not part of your PermitNav account |
| Geocoded permit endpoints in our shared cache | Not linked to any account or permit (keyed only by a hash of the printed place, the state and the geocoder); not affected by the deletion and expired within 30 days |
| Purchase & billing records | Kept where required: Google Play / the App Store retain your purchase history under their own policies; our billing provider (RevenueCat) keeps the purchase record with your identity and every attribute we set removed; and our internal billing records (purchase, renewal and refund events) are kept as required for accounting, fraud prevention and legal compliance; they carry the identifier your account had, but the account, its email address and profile are deleted, so that identifier alone names no one |
| Anonymous diagnostics never linked to an account | Kept (they are not linked to any account; a crash trail can carry positions along a route, never your name or email) |
